My unique qualifications will contribute to successful Board governance as SCC ensures access to high-quality higher education in Southeast Nebraska from students with many different backgrounds, at distinct stages of their lives, with unique needs and goals.
My campaign is focused on ensuring equity in access while maintaining excellent value for students and taxpayers. I want all students seeking higher education to feel welcomed and have the resources to access credit-bearing coursework, including students with disabilities and students whose first language is not English.
As the incumbent in the race, I bring a wealth of experience to the Board of Governors. The role of Board of Governors Member is complex with a steep learning curve. From funding sources to obscure concepts like COPS financing, McCormick has already learned the ins and outs of the role.
